All diabetic patients are covered by their plans for new treatments for diabetic ulcers when prescribed by their doctor. as per 62A.3093, Minnesota Statutes 2006, to all citizens in Minnesota who have diabetes.

The VA has access to the Heartland Medical Distribution wound program for their outpatients.
